Job Description

We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Pinterest Business Analyst to join our dynamic Strategy & Insights team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leveraging Pinterest data to uncover actionable insights, inform strategic decisions, and optimize brand performance on the platform for our diverse client portfolio. You will work closely with marketing, creative, and media teams to translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives and recommendations. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the Pinterest ecosystem, strong analytical skills, and a passion for turning data into business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement data collection strategies to gather comprehensive Pinterest performance metrics.
  • Analyze Pinterest trends, user behavior, and content performance to identify key insights and opportunities.
  • Create detailed reports and dashboards visualizing Pinterest campaign performance and overall platform health.
  • Formulate data-driven strategic recommendations for content creation, audience targeting, and campaign optimization on Pinterest.
  • Collaborate with client teams to understand business objectives and translate them into measurable Pinterest KPIs.
  • Conduct competitive analysis on Pinterest to benchmark client performance and identify best practices.
  • Stay abreast of Pinterest algorithm changes, new features, and industry best practices.
  • Present findings and recommendations to internal teams and clients in a clear, concise, and compelling manner.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role with a focus on social media platforms, specifically Pinterest.
  • Strong proficiency in Pinterest Analytics and other social media analytics tools.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Google Data Studio, Power BI).
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, advanced formulas).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of explaining complex data to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Experience with A/B testing and experimentation methodologies on social platforms.
  • Familiarity with marketing attribution models and their application to social media performance.
  • Prior experience working in an advertising agency or a client-side marketing team.
  • Certifications in Google Analytics or other relevant analytics platforms.
