Job Description

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Junior Video Editor to join our dynamic creative team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring editor to contribute to Netflix’s social media presence by creating captivating short-form video content (reels and shorts) for various platforms. You will work remotely, leveraging your editing skills to highlight key moments from our vast library of films and series, helping us engage and grow our audience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit short-form video content (reels, shorts, trailers) for social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
  • Select and assemble footage from Netflix originals, licensed content, and promotional materials.
  • Incorporate music, sound effects, graphics, and text overlays to enhance visual storytelling.
  • Ensure all content aligns with Netflix's brand guidelines, tone, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with content strategists, social media managers, and marketing teams to meet project objectives.
  • Manage and organize media assets efficiently.
  • Stay updated on current social media trends, video editing techniques, and platform best practices.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
  • Basic understanding of post-production workflows.
  • Familiarity with various social media platforms and their video content requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for visual storytelling.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Film, Media Production, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience creating short-form content for social media or digital platforms.
  • Knowledge of motion graphics (e.g., Adobe After Effects).
  • Portfolio or reel showcasing relevant video editing work.
