Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute comprehensive test plans and scenarios for pre-release EA video games across various platforms.
  • Thoroughly identify, document, and report bugs, glitches, and other issues using designated bug tracking software.
  • Provide clear, constructive, and actionable feedback on gameplay mechanics, user interface, overall game balance, and player experience.
  • Participate in remote debriefs and team discussions, collaborating with development teams to refine game features.
  • Adhere strictly to confidentiality agreements and project timelines.
  • Maintain a reliable gaming setup and internet connection to ensure consistent testing capability.

Required Skills

  • Profound passion for video games, particularly Electronic Arts titles and genres.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong observational skills to detect subtle issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear bug reporting and feedback.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and execute test cases precisely.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote environment.
  • Familiarity with PC and/or console gaming platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in game testing, quality assurance, or a similar role (professional or personal).
  • Experience with bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
  • Familiarity with various gaming genres, including sports, action-adventure, RPG, and simulation.
  • Ability to critically analyze game design and provide user-centric insights.
  • Strong time management skills to meet testing deadlines.
