Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Google Documentation Clerk with an Engineering focus to join our remote team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in organizing, maintaining, and improving our internal documentation systems, particularly those related to engineering processes, Google Workspace tools, and cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with engineering teams to ensure that documentation is accurate, accessible, and up-to-date, supporting seamless communication and operational efficiency across the organization. This position requires a proactive individual with strong organizational skills and a foundational understanding of technical concepts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize, categorize, and maintain technical documentation within Google Drive, Confluence, and other internal knowledge bases.
  • Assist engineering teams in formatting, editing, and publishing documentation, ensuring adherence to established guidelines and standards.
  • Manage documentation version control and access permissions to maintain data integrity and security.
  • Conduct regular audits of existing documentation to identify gaps, inaccuracies, or outdated information.
  • Collaborate with engineers and subject matter experts to gather information and clarify technical details for documentation purposes.
  • Train team members on documentation best practices and the effective use of Google Workspace tools for knowledge management.
  • Support the transition of legacy documentation to new platforms or formats as required.
  • Provide administrative support for documentation-related projects and initiatives.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, Sites)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Basic understanding of engineering concepts or technical environments
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Confluence or similar knowledge management systems
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies
  • Previous experience in a documentation, administrative, or data entry role within a tech company
  • Associate's degree or certificate in a related field
