Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and calm Shopping Mall Security Dispatcher to join our team in Chicago. This is a sit-down role, perfect for individuals who excel at monitoring, communication, and coordination from a central control room. You will be the central hub for all security operations within one of our prominent shopping centers, ensuring the safety and security of our guests, tenants, and assets. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to react calmly and efficiently under pressure. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems for multiple areas of the shopping mall.
- Dispatch security personnel to incidents, emergencies, and routine calls for service.
- Maintain accurate logs of all security activities, incidents, and dispatches.
- Communicate effectively with security staff, management, tenants, and emergency services.
- Answer incoming calls and provide information or direct inquiries appropriately.
- Manage access control systems and issue temporary passes as needed.
- Generate incident reports and compile daily activity summaries.
- Ensure all equipment in the control room is operational and report any malfunctions.
- Provide immediate assistance and guidance to security officers in the field.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in using surveillance monitoring systems (CCTV).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite).
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm and composed during stressful situations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a security dispatch or call center role.
- Knowledge of security protocols and emergency response procedures.
- Familiarity with two-way radio communication systems.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
