Job Description

We are seeking a highly meticulous and dedicated QA Laboratory Specialist to join our team in Lincoln, Nebraska. This is a critical role focused on maintaining the highest standards of quality assurance within our laboratory operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in laboratory protocols, quality control, and data integrity. You will be responsible for ensuring all testing procedures comply with regulatory requirements and internal quality systems, contributing to the reliability and accuracy of our results. This is a stable Monday-Friday position, offering a consistent schedule and the opportunity to work in a dynamic, quality-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine quality control checks on laboratory equipment, reagents, and samples.
  • Monitor and verify data accuracy and integrity across all testing processes.
  • Conduct internal audits of laboratory procedures and documentation to ensure compliance with SOPs and regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 17025, GLP).
  • Investigate and document deviations, out-of-specification results, and non-conformances, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Assist in the development, review, and revision of Quality Management System (QMS) documents, including SOPs and work instructions.
  • Provide training and guidance to laboratory personnel on quality assurance principles and best practices.
  • Maintain meticulous records of all QA activities, audits, and compliance documentation.
  • Collaborate with laboratory management and technical staff to continuously improve quality processes.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Food Science, or a related scientific field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Control role within a laboratory setting.
  • Strong understanding of laboratory quality systems (e.g., ISO 17025, GLP, GMP).
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify issues, conduct investigations, and propose effective solutions.
  • Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) software.
  • Certification in Quality Assurance (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Auditor, CQA).
  • Familiarity with environmental, food, or pharmaceutical testing methodologies.
  • Experience in root cause analysis and CAPA implementation.
