Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and organized Administrative Aide to provide essential support to our medical and dental departments. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth daily operations of our healthcare services, directly contributing to patient satisfaction and efficient departmental functioning. The successful candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills, dedicated to upholding the high standards of Regions Hospital.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage scheduling, appointments, and patient registration for medical and dental services.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Prepare and process medical and dental insurance forms, claims, and billing inquiries.
- Coordinate communication between patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and correspondence, directing inquiries appropriately.
- Assist with inventory management of office supplies and medical/dental forms.
- Support administrative tasks such as data entry, report generation, and document organization.
- Ensure the reception area and office environment are tidy and welcoming.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Medical Administration or a related field.
- Previous administrative experience in a healthcare or dental office setting.
- Familiarity with medical and dental terminology.
- Experience with Epic EHR system.
