Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Identity & Access Management (IAM) Engineer to join our dynamic security team in Cranston, RI. In this hybrid role, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and managing our enterprise-wide IAM solutions. You will play a crucial part in ensuring secure access to critical systems and applications, supporting our commitment to protecting sensitive healthcare data. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various IAM technologies, a passion for cybersecurity, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain IAM solutions, including identity governance, access management, single sign-on (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and privileged access management (PAM).
  • Develop and enforce IAM policies, standards, and procedures in alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Perform routine monitoring, analysis, and troubleshooting of IAM systems to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Collaborate with development, operations, and business teams to integrate new applications and systems with existing IAM infrastructure.
  • Automate identity and access lifecycle processes, including provisioning, de-provisioning, and access reviews.
  • Participate in security audits, compliance initiatives, and incident response activities related to identity and access.
  • Stay current with emerging IAM technologies, threats, and best practices to continually enhance our security framework.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to other IT teams and end-users on IAM-related matters.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Identity & Access Management (IAM) engineering roles.
  • Proficiency with IAM platforms such as Okta, Azure AD, SailPoint, CyberArk, Ping Identity, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of identity protocols (SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect) and directory services (LDAP, Active Directory).
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and integration.
  • Solid knowledge of cybersecurity principles, data privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR), and compliance frameworks.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues related to identity, authentication, and authorization.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, or vendor-specific IAM certifications.
  • Experience with cloud IAM solutions (AWS IAM, Azure AD, Google Cloud IAM).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Prior experience in the healthcare industry or other highly regulated environments.
