Job Description
Join the Green Drop Lawn Care team as a Seasonal Landscape Labourer! This is an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to start a career in landscaping, even with no prior experience. We are looking for motivated, hardworking individuals who enjoy working outdoors and are ready to contribute to creating beautiful landscapes. You’ll receive on-the-job training and work alongside experienced professionals to maintain and enhance various properties in Guelph and the surrounding areas. Immediate start available for the upcoming season!
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, edging, and weeding.
- Assist with planting flowers, shrubs, and trees.
- Participate in garden bed preparation and mulching.
- Operate and maintain basic landscaping equipment safely and effectively (after training).
- Load and unload materials and tools from vehicles.
- Ensure job sites are clean and tidy upon completion of work.
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures.
- Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects efficiently.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physical labour, lift heavy objects, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Excellent team player.
- Basic understanding of English for communication and safety instructions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid G-class driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating landscaping tools or machinery (an asset, but not required).
- First Aid/CPR certification.
