Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and physically capable Secure Document Shredding Feeder to join our operations team in Norwich. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for securely handling and feeding confidential documents from dump boxes into our industrial shredding machines. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, a commitment to security protocols, and the ability to perform repetitive physical tasks in a fast-paced environment. You will be a vital part of protecting sensitive information for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently transfer confidential documents from dump boxes into industrial shredding equipment.
  • Adhere strictly to all security protocols and procedures to maintain the integrity of confidential information.
  • Operate shredding machinery in accordance with safety guidelines and operational manuals.
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of secure containers and vehicles as needed.
  • Perform routine cleanliness and maintenance checks on equipment and work area.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions, security breaches, or unusual incidents immediately to supervision.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of shredding tasks.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout the shift.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict security procedures.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of safety protocols in an industrial environment.
  • Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, production, or industrial environment.
  • Familiarity with operating machinery or equipment.

  • A valid UK driving license.
