Job Description
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Google Documentation Clerk with an engineering focus to join our dynamic team. This 100% remote position offers the flexibility to work from home while contributing to critical engineering documentation within a leading renewable energy company. You will play a vital role in managing, organising, and ensuring the accuracy and accessibility of our engineering documents, utilizing Google Workspace tools extensively. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a basic understanding of engineering terminology, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Organise, classify, and maintain a comprehensive library of engineering documents and technical specifications within Google Drive and other specified platforms.
- Ensure all documentation adheres to company standards, version control protocols, and Google's best practices for document management.
- Assist engineering teams in locating and retrieving relevant documentation quickly and efficiently.
- Perform regular audits of documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders to gather, update, and disseminate critical information.
- Support the creation of user-friendly documentation guides and templates.
- Manage access permissions and security settings for confidential engineering documents.
- Provide support for basic data entry and administrative tasks related to documentation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for documentation processes and systems.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Calendar).
- Strong organisational skills with an exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic understanding of engineering terminology or a strong willingness to learn.
- Experience with document control procedures and version management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in an engineering, manufacturing, or technical environment.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards or similar quality management systems.
- Experience with project management tools or enterprise content management systems.
