Job Description
Join Pickfords as a Heavy Furniture Shifter and become an integral part of our dynamic removals team in Liverpool. This immediate start position requires individuals with proven physical strength, stamina, and a commitment to safe manual handling practices. You will be responsible for carefully loading, unloading, and moving a wide variety of furniture and household items, ensuring their safe transport and delivery. This role is crucial for delivering Pickfords’ renowned service excellence and requires a strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently load and unload furniture and other household goods onto and off removal vehicles.
- Carefully pack, wrap, and secure items to prevent damage during transit.
- Navigate items through various premises, including stairs and narrow doorways, using appropriate lifting techniques and equipment.
- Work collaboratively with team members to complete moves on schedule.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations, including manual handling guidelines.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with customers at all times.
- Assist with basic vehicle checks and maintenance as required.
Required Skills
- Demonstrable physical strength and stamina required for heavy lifting and manual handling.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications
