Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Warehouse Compliance Aide with a strong focus on Safety and Standards to join our team in Land O’Lakes, FL. In this crucial role, you will be instrumental in ensuring our warehouse operations adhere to all local, state, federal, and company-specific safety regulations and operational standards. You will conduct regular inspections, support safety training initiatives, and help maintain a culture of continuous improvement in workplace safety and efficiency. This position is ideal for an individual who is passionate about workplace safety and has an analytical eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine safety inspections of the warehouse facility, equipment, and workstations to identify potential hazards and non-compliance issues.
- Assist in the development and implementation of safety procedures, policies, and training programs for all warehouse personnel.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety guidelines, and industry best practices.
- Conduct safety audits and report findings, recommending corrective actions and tracking their implementation.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, preparing detailed reports and suggesting preventative measures.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training, incidents, and corrective actions.
- Support the management team in fostering a proactive safety culture through communication and engagement initiatives.
- Ensure all safety signage, PPE, and emergency equipment are readily available, functional, and properly maintained.
- Collaborate with other departments to address safety concerns and promote a safe working environment.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety regulations and protocols (e.g., OSHA, HAZMAT).
- Excellent observational and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite).
- Physical ability to walk, stand, and lift light to moderate weights as required in a warehouse setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or compliance-related role.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- Experience with a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- First Aid/CPR certification.
