Job Description

Join our passionate team at KinderCare Education as an Early Childhood Music Leader! This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who love music and working with young children, even if you don’t have prior experience leading music classes. We provide comprehensive training to equip you with the skills and confidence to deliver engaging, play-based music programs that stimulate development and foster creativity in our children. You will be responsible for planning and facilitating daily music activities for various age groups, encouraging participation, and creating a joyful, musical environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement daily music and movement activities for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years, incorporating play-based learning principles.
  • Lead engaging group music sessions, including singing, rhythm exercises, instrument exploration, and creative movement.
  • Adapt music activities to suit different age groups and developmental stages.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and encouraging atmosphere where every child feels comfortable participating.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate music into broader curriculum themes and daily routines.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe music activity area and ensure proper care of instruments and materials.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance musical and educational skills.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's musical progress and experiences.
  • Support the overall mission and values of KinderCare Education.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Some experience (formal or informal) working with young children.
  • Basic knowledge of musical instruments or music theory.
  • Enrollment in or completion of an Early Childhood Education program or related field.
  • First Aid and CPR certification (training can be provided).
