Job Description

Join our dynamic fitting team as a Carpet Fitting Offsider, playing a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and high-quality installation of carpets and various flooring types. This is a hands-on, physically demanding position perfect for individuals who enjoy manual work, are reliable, and eager to learn the trade. You will work closely with experienced fitters, assisting with all aspects of flooring installation in residential and commercial settings, primarily indoors. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist experienced carpet fitters with the loading, unloading, and transportation of flooring materials and tools.
  • Prepare work areas, including clearing existing flooring, moving furniture, and ensuring a clean and safe environment.
  • Measure and cut underlay and various flooring materials accurately under supervision.
  • Help with the installation of carpets, vinyl, laminate, and other flooring types, including stretching, gluing, and seaming.
  • Handle and store tools and equipment safely and responsibly.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail.
  • Interact professionally and courteously with customers, representing Carpetright positively.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Clean up work sites upon completion, ensuring client satisfaction.
