Job Description
Are you adept with tools, comfortable working at heights, and possess a keen eye for detail? The Home Depot is seeking a dedicated individual for a Curtain Rod Mounting specialist role. This position is vital in assisting our customers with precise and secure installation of curtain rods, often requiring the use of high ladders. You will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction through professional service, adherence to safety protocols, and efficient completion of tasks. This is an on-site role based in our New Port Richey store, providing direct service to our local customer base.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately measure and install various types of curtain rods according to customer specifications and product guidelines.
- Safely and proficiently operate high ladders (up to 12-16 feet) and other necessary tools for installations.
- Ensure all installations are secure, level, and aesthetically pleasing.
- Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions and offering advice on product selection and maintenance.
- Adhere strictly to all safety procedures and guidelines, particularly when working at heights.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper tool storage and material handling.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any installation issues with a professional and problem-solving attitude.
- Collaborate with store associates to coordinate service appointments and product availability.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in using hand and power tools for installation tasks.
- Comfortable working at heights on high ladders for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform precise measurements.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and carry equipment and materials.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Basic understanding of construction principles and safe work practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in home improvement, installation, or handyman services.
- Familiarity with various types of curtain rods, blinds, and window treatments.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (for potential future in-home service opportunities).
