Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Subsea Drafter to join our engineering team in New Port Richey, FL. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals eager to specialize in subsea drafting. Key Responsibilities
- Participate in a specialized AutoCAD training program focused on subsea drafting standards and techniques.
- Assist in the preparation of detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and layouts for subsea equipment and systems.
- Revise and update existing drawings based on engineering mark-ups and project specifications.
- Ensure all drafting work complies with company standards, industry regulations, and client requirements.
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to understand project needs and translate them into accurate visual representations.
- Maintain organized project files and documentation, adhering to data management protocols.
- Learn to interpret design specifications, engineering calculations, and P&IDs relevant to subsea operations.
- Conduct quality checks on own work and provide support for peer reviews as needed.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the drafting department.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (or strong willingness to learn and adapt quickly)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of engineering principles
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to interpret technical instructions and sketches
- Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or technical certification in Drafting, Design, or a related engineering discipline
