Job Description
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Podcast Audio Producer to join our dynamic and rapidly expanding podcast division. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of podcasts, from news and entertainment to true crime and lifestyle. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for audio storytelling, exceptional technical skills, and a keen ear for detail. This role is crucial in ensuring that all our podcast content meets the highest standards of audio quality and engagement. Given the nature of our operations, this position offers full work-from-home flexibility, allowing you to contribute your expertise from anywhere.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit, mix, and master podcast episodes to ensure broadcast-quality audio and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Perform sound design, including selecting and integrating music, sound effects, and voiceovers.
- Conduct audio repair, noise reduction, and level balancing to enhance overall sound clarity and consistency.
- Collaborate closely with podcast hosts, content creators, and producers throughout the production lifecycle.
- Manage and organize audio assets, maintaining a well-structured archive of all project files.
- Ensure timely delivery of all audio files according to production schedules and deadlines.
- Stay current with industry trends, audio production techniques, and software advancements.
- Provide creative input and suggestions to improve podcast sound and listener experience.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in digital audio workstations (DAWs) such as Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, or Logic Pro.
- Strong understanding of audio engineering principles, mixing, and mastering techniques.
- Excellent ear for detail and a critical understanding of sound quality.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
- Problem-solving aptitude for technical audio challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Audio Engineering, Music Production, Broadcasting, or a related field.
- 2+ years of professional experience in podcast production or broadcast audio editing.
- Experience with various podcast hosting platforms and RSS feed management.
- Familiarity with remote collaboration tools and workflows.
- Knowledge of current podcasting trends and popular genres.
- Ability to compose or select appropriate music for diverse content.
