Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Part-time Bin Collector to join our team for weekend early shifts in Hurricane, Utah. This role is crucial for ensuring the timely and efficient collection of waste, contributing to the cleanliness and well-being of our community. Key Responsibilities
- Operate collection vehicles safely and efficiently on assigned routes.
- Collect and dispose of waste from residential and commercial bins.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and traffic laws.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Report any vehicle malfunctions or route issues promptly.
- Provide excellent customer service to the communities we serve.
Required Skills
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with air brake endorsement.
- Ability to lift heavy objects repeatedly (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong understanding and commitment to safety procedures.
- Excellent spatial awareness and driving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliability and punctuality for early morning shifts.
- Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in waste collection or commercial driving.
- Familiarity with waste management regulations.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for minor vehicle checks.
