Job Description
We are seeking a warm, responsible, and energetic Part-Time Nanny for a lovely family in Millcreek, UT. This role primarily focuses on after-school care, including school pick-up, light homework assistance, engaging activities, and meal preparation for children aged 6 and 9. The ideal candidate will be available Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, providing a consistent and nurturing environment for the children. Safety, punctuality, and a genuine love for working with children are paramount for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily school pick-up for two children (ages 6 and 9) from a local Millcreek school.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities, including creative play, outdoor time, and crafts.
- Assist with homework and school projects, fostering a positive learning attitude.
- Prepare healthy snacks and simple dinners for the children.
- Maintain a tidy and organized play area and children's common spaces.
- Ensure children's safety and well-being at all times.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding children's daily activities and progress.
- Manage children's after-school schedules, including playdates or extracurricular activities if needed.
- Adhere to the family's established routines and house rules.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 1 year) in childcare, babysitting, or nannying, specifically with school-aged children.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Reliable personal transportation with appropriate car seats if required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment.
- Punctual, dependable, and highly organized.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain quickly).
- Legal right to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, child development, or a related field.
- Prior experience with after-school care routines.
- Familiarity with the Millcreek, UT area and local schools.
- References from previous childcare positions.
