Job Description

FedEx Ground is seeking a motivated Shift Coordinator with leadership potential to join our dynamic team in Round Rock, TX. In this role, you will be instrumental in overseeing daily operations, ensuring packages are processed efficiently and safely, and guiding a team to meet critical deadlines. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of package handlers and other operational staff during a designated shift.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, company policies, and federal regulations.
- Monitor workflow, allocate resources, and make real-time adjustments to achieve productivity targets.
- Train new team members and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to enhance performance.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, productivity, and operational incidents.
- Collaborate with other Shift Coordinators and management to optimize overall facility performance.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Handle routine administrative tasks and prepare operational reports as required.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment focused on teamwork and continuous improvement.
Required Skills

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).

- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a lead, supervisory, or coordinator role within a warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics setting.
- Familiarity with FedEx Ground operational procedures and systems.
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.
