Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and hardworking HVAC Installation Laborer to join our dynamic team for the busy summer season and beyond. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the HVAC industry, contributing to essential installations and maintenance projects across St. John’s and surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities
- Assist licensed HVAC technicians and installers with the setup, installation, and removal of HVAC systems.
- Transport materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites.
- Prepare work areas by setting up ladders, scaffolding, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Perform demolition, clean-up, and site organization duties.
- Cut, thread, and assemble pipes, ducts, and other components as directed.
- Support the team in troubleshooting and basic maintenance tasks.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and work in various weather conditions.
- Basic understanding of hand and power tools.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to safety practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in construction, general labor, or a related trade.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
