Job Description
The Forsyth County Public Library is seeking a quiet, detail-oriented 17-year-old teen to join our team as a Library Aide. This part-time position will primarily focus on supporting our digital resources, with a special emphasis on organizing and promoting Google Books. The ideal candidate will be adept at navigating digital platforms, possess excellent organizational skills, and thrive in a quiet work environment. Key Responsibilities
- Assist patrons with locating and accessing digital books, particularly through Google Books.
- Organize and maintain digital shelves and databases, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
- Help with basic cataloging and metadata entry for digital resources.
- Provide support for library programs and events, often involving digital media.
- Maintain a quiet and orderly environment in assigned library sections.
- Assist with shelving physical books and tidying common areas as needed.
- Perform light administrative tasks, such as creating promotional materials for digital resources.
Required Skills
- Must be 17 years old.
- Proficiency in using computers and navigating online platforms.
