Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) to join our dynamic team in Wesley Chapel, FL. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately process and fill prescriptions under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Assist patients with prescription inquiries, over-the-counter product selection, and general pharmacy services.
- Maintain patient profiles, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and rotating medications.
- Process insurance claims and resolve basic payment issues.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations and company policies.
- Perform administrative tasks such as answering phones, data entry, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive and efficient experience for all pharmacy patrons.
Required Skills
- Current National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with pharmacy software systems.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience as a Certified Pharmacy Technician in a retail pharmacy setting.
- Experience with CVS Health pharmacy systems (e.g., RxConnect).
- Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmaceutical calculations.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills.
