Job Description

Join the XPO Logistics team as a Shoebox Assembler at our state-of-the-art footwear distribution center in Calgary. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the efficient and accurate assembly of shoeboxes, ensuring they meet quality standards for packaging and distribution. This position requires strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment to support our high-volume operations and contribute to the seamless delivery of footwear products to customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble shoeboxes quickly and accurately according to specified guidelines and designs.
  • Inspect assembled boxes for quality, structural integrity, and proper branding.
  • Organize and stack assembled boxes in designated areas, preparing them for the packing department.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all company safety protocols.
  • Monitor inventory of flat-packed box materials and report shortages.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets.
  • Operate basic warehouse equipment if required (e.g., pallet jack), after proper training.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 lbs regularly.
  • Basic understanding of warehouse safety procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or assembly role.
  • Familiarity with footwear products or retail distribution processes.
  • Experience working in a team-based environment.
  • Basic computer literacy for logging or tracking purposes.
