Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and client-focused Retail Banker to join our dynamic team in Charlotte, NC. As a Retail Banker, you will be the face of Bank of America, providing exceptional customer service and building lasting relationships with our clients. You will be responsible for assisting clients with their banking needs, identifying opportunities to offer suitable financial products and services, and ensuring a seamless and positive banking experience. Key Responsibilities

• Engage with clients in a professional and friendly manner to understand their financial needs and provide appropriate solutions.
• Process routine banking transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, and account inquiries.
• Open new accounts, process loan applications, and assist with other financial product applications.
• Educate clients on various banking products and services, including digital banking tools.
• Identify and refer clients to specialists for more complex financial planning, investment, or lending needs.
• Resolve client issues and concerns promptly and effectively, escalating when necessary.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Actively participate in branch initiatives and contribute to achieving team goals and sales targets.
• Ensure compliance with all security and operational procedures.
• Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of local market conditions and competitor offerings.

Required Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service, retail, or a related field.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Strong sales and referral acumen, with a client-centric approach.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications and ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
• Previous experience in a banking or financial services environment.
• Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish) is a plus.
• Experience with sales or cross-selling financial products.
