Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented UI/UX Playtester with a keen eye for interface design to join our innovative team. This role is a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about user experience and eager to embark on a career path in the interactive entertainment industry. You will be instrumental in identifying and documenting issues, providing constructive feedback on user interfaces, and ensuring the accessibility and usability of our game titles. Your input will directly influence the development process, helping us craft intuitive and engaging experiences for millions of players worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute comprehensive test plans to identify UI/UX issues, bugs, and inconsistencies across various platforms.
- Provide detailed and actionable feedback on game interfaces, menu navigation, iconography, and overall user flow.
- Document findings thoroughly using bug tracking software, including clear steps to reproduce, expected vs. actual results, and screenshots/video where necessary.
- Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers, developers, and producers to communicate findings and propose solutions.
- Participate in regular playtesting sessions, offering insights from a player's perspective with a focus on usability and intuitiveness.
- Help refine and improve existing UI/UX test cases and develop new ones.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly.
- Basic understanding of UI/UX principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in using common office software (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft Office).
- Passion for video games and a strong desire to improve player experiences.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in quality assurance, game testing, or a related field (academic or professional).
- Familiarity with bug tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
- Experience with different gaming platforms (PC, console, mobile).
- Academic background in UI/UX design, game design, human-computer interaction, or a related discipline.
