Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Drum Teacher to join our dynamic team at Rhythm Realm Music Academy. This role is perfect for a passionate musician who loves teaching and inspiring students of all ages and skill levels. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective drum lessons during afternoon shifts, helping students develop their rhythm, technique, and overall musicality in a fun, high-energy studio environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, individualized drum instruction to students of varying ages (children, teens, and adults) and skill levels.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans tailored to student goals and musical interests.
  • Prepare students for recitals, performances, and other musical events.
  • Cultivate a positive, encouraging, and high-energy learning atmosphere within the studio.
  • Track student progress, provide constructive feedback, and communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student development.
  • Maintain studio instruments and equipment, ensuring a clean and organized teaching space.
  • Collaborate with other instructors and staff to enhance the overall academy experience.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional proficiency in various drumming styles and techniques (e.g., rock, jazz, funk, Latin).
  • Proven ability to teach and communicate complex musical concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a patient and enthusiastic demeanor.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse age groups and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional work ethic.
  • Fundamental knowledge of music theory.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Music Performance, Music Education, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of prior experience teaching drums in a formal studio or school setting.
  • Experience with performance coaching and ensemble direction.
  • Ability to demonstrate proficiency on additional instruments.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
