Key Responsibilities
- Operate a company-provided vehicle safely and efficiently to deliver packages to residential and commercial customers.
- Lift, load, and unload packages weighing up to 70 lbs independently and heavier packages with assistance.
- Scan and log package information using handheld devices accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Interact with customers professionally and courteously, providing excellent service.
- Manage delivery routes effectively to meet strict deadlines.
- Handle cash and process payments accurately if required.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and supervisors regarding delivery status or issues.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations or accidents in the last 3 years).
- Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver packages up to 70 lbs independently.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing weather conditions.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Successful completion of a physical agility test and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in delivery or transportation.
- Familiarity with local geographical area (Pomona and surrounding regions).
- High school diploma or GED.
