Job Description
We are seeking a highly meticulous and detail-oriented Google Data Specialist to join our fully remote team. This role is critical for ensuring the highest levels of accuracy and integrity across various Google-based data projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for validating, cleaning, and organizing large datasets, identifying discrepancies, and implementing robust quality control measures within the Google ecosystem. You will work independently in a fast-paced environment, contributing directly to the success of our data-driven initiatives. This position is 100% remote, requiring a strong capacity for self-management and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform rigorous data validation and quality assurance checks on large datasets originating from Google platforms.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve data discrepancies, inconsistencies, and errors with high precision.
- Utilize Google Workspace tools (Sheets, Docs, Forms) for data entry, manipulation, and reporting.
- Develop and implement robust data quality standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with project managers and other data specialists to understand project requirements and deliver accurate data solutions.
- Generate comprehensive reports on data quality, accuracy, and project progress.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and security protocols for sensitive data.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of data processes and methodologies.
Required Skills
- Proven experience with Google Workspace, particularly Google Sheets and Google Docs, at an advanced level.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify patterns and anomalies in data.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities for remote work.
- Proficiency in data entry and data validation techniques.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively in a remote setting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SQL or Python for data extraction and manipulation.
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) data services.
- Certification in Google Cloud Data Analytics or related fields.
- Previous experience in a data quality, data auditing, or data specialist role.
- Experience working in a fully remote, distributed team environment.
