Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Part-time Pub Staff to join our team for immediate vacancies, primarily focused on weekend shifts. As a vital part of The Rusty Mug Tavern, you will contribute to creating a welcoming and efficient environment for our patrons. This role is perfect for individuals looking for flexible hours, a lively work setting, and the chance to be part of a close-knit community pub.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with seating and menu inquiries.
- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently using our POS system.
- Serve beverages and food items to tables and at the bar, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, dining space, and restrooms.
- Process payments and handle cash and card transactions responsibly.
- Restock bar supplies, glassware, and condiments as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all alcohol service laws and age verification policies.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cleaning and setup/takedown.
- Address customer concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues to management when necessary.
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable and punctual, especially for weekend shifts.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a bar, restaurant, or hospitality setting.
- Knowledge of common alcoholic beverages and basic mixology.
- Familiarity with POS systems.
- Current food handler's permit or ability to obtain one quickly.
