Job Description
Are you a student looking for a fun and engaging summer job? Hampton Inn & Suites Zephyrhills is seeking enthusiastic and responsible Student Pool Attendants to ensure our guests enjoy a safe, clean, and relaxing pool experience. This relaxed seasonal role is ideal for students eager to gain valuable experience in the hospitality industry while enjoying the beautiful Florida summer. You will play a key role in maintaining our inviting pool area and providing excellent service to our visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and assist with any pool-related inquiries or needs.
- Monitor the pool area to ensure guest safety and enforce all pool rules and regulations.
- Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the pool deck, lounge chairs, and surrounding facilities.
- Distribute and collect towels, ensuring an adequate supply is always available.
- Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or guest concerns to management promptly.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down pool amenities as needed.
- Provide exceptional customer service, anticipating guest needs with a positive and helpful attitude.
- Be knowledgeable about hotel services and local attractions to assist guests effectively.
Required Skills
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods, enduring various weather conditions.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to tasks.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Capable of lifting up to 25 lbs and standing/walking for prolonged durations.
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, throughout the summer season.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a high school or college program.
- Prior experience in a customer service or hospitality setting is a plus.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or a willingness to obtain).
