Job Description
Join Truist as a Bank Support Specialist, a pivotal role combining technical assistance with essential administrative duties. You’ll be the go-to person for our team, ensuring smooth daily operations by resolving IT issues and managing critical administrative tasks. This hybrid role demands a detail-oriented individual with strong technical acumen and excellent organizational skills, contributing directly to our branch’s efficiency and client service excellence. You will play a key role in maintaining a productive and secure work environment for our banking professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and network issues for branch staff, including desktops, printers, and banking applications.
- Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and troubleshoot common IT problems to minimize downtime.
- Manage and organize physical and digital documents, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and compliance with retention policies.
- Assist with scheduling, meeting coordination, and preparing presentations or reports for branch management.
- Maintain inventory of office supplies and IT equipment, initiating procurement requests when necessary.
- Ensure adherence to all banking regulations, company policies, and security protocols in all technical and administrative functions.
- Collaborate with various departments, including central IT and operations, to streamline administrative and technical processes.
- Onboard new employees by setting up workstations and providing basic system access.
- Assist with minor facility-related requests and liaise with external vendors for repairs and maintenance.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Strong understanding of basic IT principles and troubleshooting techniques for common hardware and software issues
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Superior verbal and written communication abilities, capable of explaining technical concepts clearly
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and a proactive approach to issue resolution
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all administrative tasks
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree in a related field (e.g., Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science)
- Previous experience (1-2 years) in a banking or financial services environment, ideally in a support or administrative role
