Job Description
Are you passionate about dogs and looking for a dynamic, fun, and high-energy work environment? Camp Bow Wow in New Port Richey is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Dog Daycare Attendant to join our pack! In this role, you will be responsible for supervising dog play groups, ensuring their safety and happiness, and maintaining a clean and sanitary facility. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise dog play groups to ensure safe and positive interactions between dogs of various sizes and temperaments.
- Engage with dogs through play, positive reinforcement, and attention.
- Monitor dog behavior, identifying and addressing any signs of aggression, anxiety, or illness.
- Clean and sanitize play areas, kennels, and other facility spaces regularly.
- Feed and administer medication to dogs as instructed by pet parents.
- Handle dog check-ins and check-outs, interacting professionally with pet parents.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all pet parents.
- Perform basic grooming tasks such as bathing or brushing as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of dog activities, feeding, and incidents.
Required Skills
- Genuine love and compassion for dogs.
- Ability to read and understand dog body language and behavior.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and being on your feet for extended periods.
- Comfortable working with all dog breeds and sizes.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dog daycare, kennel, animal shelter, or veterinary setting.
- Knowledge of basic dog training principles.
- Certification in pet first aid and CPR.
