Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our growing telehealth team. This is a fully remote position offering the flexibility to provide care from your home office. As a PMHNP with Teladoc Health, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and medication management for a diverse patient population via our secure virtual platform. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated and holistic patient care, focusing on improving mental health outcomes and patient well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments via telehealth.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management and psychotherapy interventions.
- Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and ensure continuity of care.
- Provide patient education on mental health conditions, treatment options, and medication adherence.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with all regulatory standards.
- Collaborate effectively with primary care providers, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care.
- Participate in peer review and quality improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to all ethical and professional standards of practice.
Required Skills
- Current, unrestricted Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) license in North Carolina (additional state licenses a plus).
- Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- ANCC Board Certification as a PMHNP.
- DEA registration.
- Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience as a PMHNP, preferably in an outpatient or telehealth setting.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and treating a wide range of psychiatric conditions.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfort and proficiency with telehealth technology and electronic health records.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with telepsychiatry platforms.
- Multiple state licenses.
- Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish).
- Experience in integrated behavioral health models.
