Job Description
FedEx is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Ground Transportation Partner with a strong focus on small businesses in the Greeley, CO area. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing and nurturing relationships with local small business owners, understanding their unique ground transportation needs, and providing tailored FedEx solutions. You will act as a trusted advisor, helping businesses optimize their shipping strategies, improve efficiency, and leverage FedEx’s extensive ground network to achieve their growth objectives. Key Responsibilities
- Identify, engage, and onboard new small business clients within the designated territory.
- Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with existing small business partners, serving as their primary point of contact for ground transportation needs.
- Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand client shipping volumes, destinations, and specific requirements.
- Propose and implement customized FedEx ground transportation solutions that drive efficiency, cost savings, and service reliability for small businesses.
- Provide expert advice on packaging, labeling, customs (if applicable for cross-border ground), and other shipping best practices.
- Monitor partner satisfaction and proactively address any service issues or concerns.
- Collaborate closely with internal FedEx operations, sales, and customer service teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscape, and local market conditions affecting small businesses and ground transportation.
- Achieve and exceed defined partnership acquisition and revenue growth targets.
- Educate partners on new FedEx services, tools, and technological advancements relevant to their business.
- Participate in local business networking events and community initiatives to represent FedEx.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales, business development, account management, or logistics within a client-facing role.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships with small to medium-sized businesses.
- Strong understanding of ground transportation logistics and supply chain principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Proven problem-solving capabilities and a proactive approach to client support.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently to achieve targets.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for local travel within the Greeley area.
Preferred Qualifications
