Job Description

Canadian Tire is looking for a dedicated Retail Merchandiser Trainee to join our dynamic team in the Calgary region. This role requires travel to various Canadian Tire store locations within the Calgary area, and we compensate for your travel expenses including fuel. Key Responsibilities

  • Travel to assigned Canadian Tire retail locations within the Calgary region as required.
  • Assist in executing merchandising plans, product resets, and promotional displays according to company guidelines.
  • Ensure products are correctly stocked, priced, and front-faced on shelves.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate stock discrepancies to store management.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in assigned sections.
  • Provide feedback on product performance and store presentation to merchandising supervisors.
  • Collaborate with store staff to optimize product visibility and sales.
  • Learn and adhere to all company policies and procedures related to merchandising and store operations.

Required Skills

  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Ability to travel extensively within the Calgary region.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and merchandising plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs, stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
  • Basic computer literacy (email, simple reporting).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a retail environment (e.g., sales associate, stock clerk).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Enthusiasm for learning about retail operations and merchandising strategies.
  • A positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
