Job Description
Are you looking for a flexible way to earn money using your own scooter or bike? Deliveroo is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Delivery Riders to join our growing team in Colchester. As a Deliveroo rider, you’ll be responsible for picking up food orders from local restaurants and delivering them promptly and efficiently to our hungry customers. Enjoy the freedom of setting your own schedule and being your own boss, all while earning weekly payments for your hard work.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect food orders from various partner restaurants in Colchester.
- Deliver orders safely and efficiently to customer addresses within designated delivery zones.
- Ensure orders are delivered in excellent condition and maintain food quality during transit.
- Provide friendly and professional service to both restaurant staff and customers.
- Manage delivery times effectively to meet customer expectations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while riding.
- Use the Deliveroo rider app for accepting orders, navigation, and tracking deliveries.
Required Skills
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Have your own scooter or bicycle (motorized or pedal) and appropriate safety gear.
- Possess a valid UK driving license (for scooters) or proof of legal right to work in the UK (for bikes).
- Have valid vehicle insurance (for scooters) that covers food delivery.
- Smartphone with data for using the Deliveroo rider app.
- Ability to navigate using GPS and familiarity with local Colchester roads.
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in food delivery or courier services.
- Strong knowledge of the Colchester area.
- Availability during peak meal times (lunch and dinner).
