Job Description
We are seeking motivated and reliable General Laborers to join our construction team in Conroe, TX. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in the construction industry, with immediate start available. As a General Laborer, you will perform a variety of tasks crucial to the success of our projects, including site preparation, material handling, and assisting skilled tradespeople. Safety is our top priority, and all new hires will receive comprehensive training to ensure a secure and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment to and from work areas.
- Prepare construction sites by cleaning, clearing debris, and performing basic setup tasks.
- Assist skilled tradespeople (e.g., carpenters, masons, equipment operators) as needed.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently under supervision.
- Perform general clean-up of the job site, including trash removal and sweeping.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Dig trenches, backfill excavations, and compact earth using hand tools and basic equipment.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety practices.
- Reliable transportation to and from the job site in Conroe, TX.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a construction or physically demanding outdoor role.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- OSHA 10-hour construction safety certification.
