Job Description
Are you passionate about movies, TV shows, and all things media? Do you have an eagle eye for detail and enjoy organizing information? Warner Bros. Discovery is seeking enthusiastic and entry-level Junior Media Taggers to join our content team in Navy Yard, Washington D.C. This unique opportunity allows you to be ‘paid to watch shows’ and contribute to how millions of viewers discover and engage with our vast library of content. Full training will be provided, making this an ideal role for individuals looking to start their career in the media industry without prior experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Watch and analyze a wide variety of video content, including movies, TV series, documentaries, and short-form clips.
- Accurately apply descriptive metadata tags (e.g., genre, themes, keywords, cast, crew, content warnings, mood) according to established guidelines and taxonomies.
- Ensure consistency and quality of metadata across all tagged assets.
- Collaborate with content operations and editorial teams to enhance content discoverability.
- Identify and report any discrepancies or technical issues with media assets.
- Stay updated on current media trends and Warner Bros. Discovery content offerings to improve tagging accuracy.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
- Excellent written communication skills in English.
- Proficiency with computers and basic office software (e.g., web browsers, word processors).
- Ability to work independently and maintain focus for extended periods.
- A genuine passion for media, entertainment, and storytelling.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with various film and television genres, industry terminology, and popular culture trends.
- Basic understanding of metadata concepts or content organization.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software and content management systems.
