Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in dispensing prescription medications.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing patient questions and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
- Process prescriptions and patient information accurately, ensuring data integrity and patient confidentiality.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including stocking shelves, monitoring expiration dates, and assisting with ordering.
- Handle cash register operations and process various payment methods.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety and hygiene protocols.
- Answer incoming phone calls, direct inquiries appropriately, and relay messages accurately.
- Support the pharmacy team in daily operations to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.
- Participate in all provided training programs to enhance knowledge and skills in pharmacy operations and customer care.
- Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations and company policies related to pharmacy practice.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new processes and technologies.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service role (e.g., retail, hospitality).
- Familiarity with medical terminology or healthcare settings (not required, but a plus).
- Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin) is an asset but not required.
