Job Description
Join CVS Health as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) and become an essential part of our patient care team in Warwick, Rhode Island. This role offers top hourly rates and a comprehensive benefits package for dedicated professionals. As a CPhT, you will play a critical role in assisting pharmacists with medication dispensing, inventory management, and providing exceptional customer service. We are seeking individuals who are highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about contributing to a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Pharmacist in the dispensing process, including preparing and labeling prescriptions.
- Accurately input prescription data into the pharmacy system.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and rotating medications.
- Process insurance claims and resolve basic payment issues.
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service, both in person and over the phone.
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy workstation.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local laws, as well as CVS Health policies and procedures.
- Assist with immunization clinics and other health services as needed.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Active CPhT certification (PTCB or NHA)
- Current state-specific Pharmacy Technician license/registration, if required by Rhode Island law
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Proficiency in pharmacy software and computer systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or higher
- Experience with sterile compounding or IV preparation
- Fluency in additional languages (e.g., Spanish)
- Prior experience with CVS Health pharmacy systems
