Job Description
StarLine Tours is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-time Weekend Tour Bus Driver to join our team in New Port Richey, FL. This role focuses on providing safe, comfortable, and engaging regional travel experiences for our tour groups. As a key representative of StarLine Tours, you will be responsible for transporting passengers to various scenic attractions, historical sites, and entertainment venues throughout the Pasco County and surrounding Central Florida regions on weekends. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a tour bus along designated regional routes, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring all safety equipment is in working order.
- Provide friendly, professional, and informative service to all passengers, including assistance with boarding and disembarking.
- Maintain a clean and comfortable environment inside the bus for the duration of the tour.
- Manage passenger manifests, tickets, and any tour-related documentation.
- Respond courteously and effectively to passenger inquiries and concerns.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, tour guides, and management regarding route status, delays, or emergencies.
- Ensure timely arrival and departure from all scheduled stops and attractions.
Required Skills
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B with Passenger (P) endorsement.
- Clean driving record with no major violations for the past 3-5 years.
- Proven experience driving passenger buses or similar large commercial vehicles.
- Excellent knowledge of regional roadways and navigation systems.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to DOT regulations.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work weekends and occasional holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a tour bus driver or in a related tourism role.
- Familiarity with Pasco County and Central Florida tourist attractions.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for minor vehicle issues.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Multilingual abilities are a plus.
