Job Description

We are seeking a highly meticulous and organized Administrative Clerk to join our team at AdventHealth in Wesley Chapel, FL. This vital role is responsible for maintaining the integrity and accessibility of critical documents through precise filing and record-keeping. The successful candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to accuracy, ensuring all administrative tasks are completed to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate and timely filing of patient records, departmental documents, and other critical information.
  • Organize and maintain physical and digital filing systems to ensure easy retrieval and compliance with retention policies.
  • Retrieve and deliver requested documents to authorized personnel while maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Conduct regular audits of files to identify and correct discrepancies, ensuring data integrity.
  • Assist with data entry and basic administrative tasks as needed to support various departments.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, ensuring proper distribution and processing.
  • Operate office equipment such as scanners, photocopiers, and fax machines.
  • Adhere strictly to AdventHealth's policies and procedures regarding document management and patient privacy (HIPAA).

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to maintain extreme accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding of and commitment to patient confidentiality (HIPAA).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an administrative or clerical role, especially in a healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Experience with document management software.
