Job Description
We are seeking a highly analytical and quantitatively focused AI Algorithm Performance Analyst to join our pioneering AI research and development team. In this 100% remote role, you will be instrumental in evaluating, optimizing, and ensuring the robust performance of our core AI algorithms. You will leverage advanced statistical methods, data analysis techniques, and predictive modeling to identify performance bottlenecks, measure efficiency, and propose improvements to complex AI systems. This position requires a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of machine learning principles, and the ability to translate data insights into actionable recommendations for engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement metrics and dashboards to monitor the performance, accuracy, and efficiency of AI algorithms in production and development environments.
- Conduct in-depth quantitative analysis of AI model outputs, identifying biases, errors, and areas for improvement.
- Develop and apply statistical tests to validate algorithm improvements and assess the impact of changes.
- Collaborate with AI researchers and engineers to translate performance insights into specific algorithm tuning and development strategies.
- Perform root cause analysis for performance degradations or unexpected behaviors in AI models.
- Create comprehensive reports and presentations detailing algorithm performance, trends, and recommended actions for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and statistical analysis techniques to continuously enhance our evaluation methodologies.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis and statistical modeling
- Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms (e.g., neural networks, decision trees, regression models) and their underlying mathematical principles
- Expertise in statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and experimental design
- Experience with data manipulation and analysis libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Scikit-learn)
- Familiarity with SQL for data querying and retrieval
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities for remote teamwork
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) for deploying and monitoring AI models
- Familiarity with MLOps practices and tools for model lifecycle management
- Knowledge of deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch)
- Experience in A/B testing and causal inference methods
