Job Description

Mears Transportation is seeking dedicated Airport Shuttle Drivers to join our high-traffic operations based in New Port Richey, serving the Tampa Bay area airports. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company shuttle vehicles on designated routes, primarily to and from major airports.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Assist passengers with loading and unloading luggage, ensuring proper handling and security.
- Provide friendly, professional, and courteous customer service at all times.
- Maintain accurate trip logs and passenger manifests as required.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Keep the vehicle clean and tidy, both inside and out.
- Manage schedules efficiently, ensuring timely arrivals and departures.
- Handle passenger inquiries and resolve minor issues professionally.
Required Skills
- Valid Florida Class D Driver's License or higher.
- Clean driving record with no major infractions.
- Excellent defensive driving skills.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communication abilities.
- Ability to read maps and use GPS navigation systems effectively.
- Reliable and punctual with strong time management skills.
- Ability to lift and carry luggage weighing up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger endorsement.
- Previous experience in commercial driving, shuttle service, or passenger transport.
- Familiarity with the Tampa Bay area and major airport layouts (TPA, PIE).
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle troubleshooting.
- Bilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish, Haitian Creole) are a plus.
