Job Description
Join the Contemporary Services Corporation (CSC) team as a temporary Airshow Fence Setup Crew member in an exciting airport environment in Fresno, California. This is a critical temporary role responsible for the efficient and safe installation and dismantling of perimeter fencing and crowd control barriers for a major upcoming airshow. You will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and smooth flow of the event. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a dedicated team in a dynamic outdoor setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently set up various types of temporary fencing and crowd control barriers according to event layouts and supervisor instructions.
- Work collaboratively with other crew members to complete tasks within designated timelines.
- Properly dismantle and store fencing and barriers post-event.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and airport security protocols.
- Operate hand tools and potentially light power tools as needed for installation and breakdown.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to immediate supervisor.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, carrying, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs unassisted.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures for manual labor.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in event setup, construction, or general labor.
- Experience working in an airport or other secure outdoor environments.
- Familiarity with crowd control barrier systems.
- Valid driver's license.
