Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Apple Inventory Specialist with a strong focus on back-of-house operations to join our team in Plymouth. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the efficient management, organization, and distribution of our Apple product inventory within the store’s stockroom and warehouse areas. Your attention to detail will ensure accurate stock counts, timely replenishment, and the smooth flow of products from delivery to sales floor. This position offers weekly pay and is perfect for someone who thrives in an organized, fast-paced environment and has a passion for technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unpack, and inspect incoming shipments of Apple products, verifying against purchase orders and identifying any discrepancies or damages.
- Organize and maintain the back-of-house inventory area, ensuring products are stored safely, securely, and in an easily accessible manner.
- Perform regular cycle counts and full inventory audits to ensure accuracy between physical stock and system records.
- Process product returns, transfers, and disposals according to company policies and procedures.
- Prepare and stage Apple products for sales floor replenishment, ensuring availability for customer demand.
- Utilize inventory management software to track stock movements, update records, and generate reports.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and security protocols related to stock handling and storage.
- Collaborate with the sales team to address inventory-related inquiries and support sales initiatives.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in all back-of-house areas.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail in inventory management.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer operations and experience with (or ability to quickly learn) inventory management systems.
- Ability to lift and move merchandise weighing up to 25kg and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail inventory, warehouse, or stockroom role, particularly with electronics or high-value items.
- Familiarity with Apple products and accessories.
- Experience using inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar retail-specific systems).
