Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Apple Procurement Specialist to join our business support team in Canterbury. This role is crucial for managing the procurement lifecycle of Apple products and related services across our diverse client base and internal operations. You will be responsible for ensuring cost-effective acquisition, managing vendor relationships, and supporting various departments with their Apple-related needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Apple ecosystem, excellent negotiation skills, and a proven track record in procurement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process for Apple hardware, software, and services, ensuring compliance with company policies and budget.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with Apple vendors and distributors, negotiating favorable terms, pricing, and service level agreements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (IT, Sales, Marketing, Operations) to understand their Apple product requirements and provide expert advice on solutions.
- Monitor market trends, product releases, and pricing strategies within the Apple ecosystem to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency.
- Prepare and process purchase orders, manage inventory levels, and track delivery schedules to ensure timely availability of products.
- Resolve procurement-related issues, including discrepancies, delivery delays, and quality concerns, effectively and promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities, contracts, and supplier information.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes and strategies.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a procurement or purchasing role, preferably within the IT sector.
- Demonstrable knowledge of Apple products, services, and their commercial ecosystem.
- Proven negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) qualification or working towards it.
- Experience with large-scale enterprise IT procurement.
- Familiarity with contract law and supply chain logistics.
