Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Apple Records Management Specialist with a strong focus on the Public Sector to join our remote team. This crucial role involves developing, implementing, and managing robust records management strategies and solutions specifically for Apple ecosystems within public sector organizations. You will ensure compliance with relevant data protection, privacy, and freedom of information regulations, helping our clients navigate complex legislative landscapes while leveraging Apple’s technology suite. This is a 100% remote position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement comprehensive records management policies and procedures tailored for Apple devices (macOS, iOS) and cloud services (iCloud, Apple Business Manager) within public sector environments.
  • Ensure strict adherence to public sector regulations including GDPR, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Data Protection Act (DPA), and other relevant government archiving standards.
  • Develop and manage data retention, archival, and destruction schedules for Apple-specific data formats and applications.
  • Provide expert consultation and guidance to public sector clients on best practices for managing electronic records and information governance for Apple products.
  • Lead and participate in projects related to information lifecycle management, e-discovery, and data migration involving Apple platforms.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of records management systems and processes to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Deliver training and support to client staff on records management policies and the use of Apple tools for compliant data handling.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to integrate records management requirements into IT systems and solutions.
  • Stay abreast of evolving records management legislation, industry standards, and Apple technologies.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in records management or information governance.
  • Proven expertise in public sector regulations and compliance (e.g., GDPR, FOIA, DPA).
  • In-depth knowledge of Apple ecosystems, including macOS, iOS, iCloud, and Apple Business Manager.
  • Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions, particularly in relation to records retention.
  • Strong understanding of data lifecycle management, archival principles, and e-discovery processes.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects remotely.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Library Science, Computer Science, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Records Manager (CRM) or other relevant professional certifications (e.g., IGP, CDMP).
  • Experience with specific MDM platforms like Jamf Pro, Microsoft Intune, or VMware Workspace ONE.
  • Previous consulting experience within the public sector.
  • Familiarity with various enterprise content management (ECM) systems.
  • Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
